Covenant’s Missions Month will begin on February 4th. We will all meet in the Fellowship Hall on February 4, 11, 18, and 25 for church-wide Adult Teaching Fellowship (Sunday School). Speakers for Missions Month include: Lois Hunter with Wycliffe, Matthew Delong with RUF-International; and Mark Kreitzer a PCA Pastor and long-term missionary.
The Perspectives Course continues this week, it’s not too late to join and learn! The first two weeks, that could have been taken free are over. The Week 3 class is, Your Kingdom Come, Exploring God’s purpose regarding evil: How God has accomplished a defeat of evil powers in order to open a season of history in which the nations can freely follow Christ. The kingdom of God as the destiny of all history.
The class meets in the Covenant Fellowship Hall at 6 PM on Tuesday. The speaker this week is Rev. James Cha, who was born in Pusan, Korea in 1963, but grew up in the United States. He studied electrical engineering at Cornell University where, in 1983, he committed his life to be Christ’s ambassador to the Muslims. He and his family served 10 years in Central Asia (Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan) as church planting missionaries, and are now back in the US reaching out to the Muslims here.
Oh sing to the LORD a new song;
sing to the LORD, all the earth!
Sing to the LORD, bless his name;
tell of his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous works among all the peoples!
